With our Wings Recruitment head office based in New Zealand, we thought it right to celebrate the fantastic Airshows that run in New Zealand and we know that there will be lots to enjoy at the Yealands Classic Fighters Airshow 2019 to be held in Marlborough over Easter weekend.

Running every two years, the Classic Fighters Airshow is back in 2019 from 19-21 April. This year the Yealands  Airshow will be ‘Saluting Women in Aviation’ and drawing on the many significant aviatrixes in history and their stories to entertain the crowds.

Friday 19th is the official practice and trade day and opens at 10 am. It may be a little quieter if you are not keen on the big crowds expected over the rest of the weekend and you will still see some great action and impressive airplanes in the air.

We recommend sticking around for the Marlborough Lines Twilight Extreme which runs from 4:15 pm (gates open at 3:30 pm) on Friday. With plans to showcase Fighters from World War One and beyond in military skirmishes and finishing with an extreme fireworks display the organisers are expecting this event to be bigger and better than ever.

The main show days are Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd from 10 am to 4 pm. Along with thrilling and fun filled action in the air, this show promises plenty to do on the ground for the whole family. There will be numerous trade and food stalls, classic cars, a kids fun zone, ground theatre and spot prizes for those who come dressed in theme.
